Why Do We Do What We Do?
We aim to support all those individuals who earn their livelihood by going out onto the streets to sell goods and services every day. They wake up very early and endure long working hours; if they don’t sell, they cannot provide for their families. These hardworking people work under unsafe conditions, exposed to social and health risks in their work environment. Thus, they work outdoors, facing the numerous climate changes in the country.

How Do We Do It?
Through partnerships with public and private entities, we develop projects focused on informal vendors in areas such as leadership, entrepreneurship, and financial skills, with the goal of strengthening their capabilities.

Some of Our Partnerships:
We have conducted financial skills workshops in collaboration with América Solidaria Foundation and the Organization of Ibero-American States. Besides, there is a constant search for providing support in clinical psychology with the Open and Distance University. We have engaged in research on Popular Economy with support from ECCI University.
Furthermore, the Foundation has formed alliances with public entities such as Colpensiones, the Ministry of Labor, and SENA to bring institutional support closer to the population. What is more, we have accompanied processes for the development and evaluation of public policies.

The aim is to highlight the efforts of local leadership, empowering them to showcase their achievements and the needs of their territories in academic and public spheres. We give them a voice.
This is an interdisciplinary team that has studied the popular economy for over a decade, resulting in 5 research projects, two scientific articles, a dissemination guide, and participation in academic events.
